Pastor Mia Marie Richardson, a native Buffalonian, relocated to Rochester, New York in April of 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Savannah State College in Savannah, Georgia and her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Canisius College, Buffalo, New York. This past year Rev. Mia earned her Master of Art in Kairos Studies from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York. Pastor Mia worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Buffalo Board of Education for several years and as a certified Special Education Teacher at the Cantalician Center of Learning for five years. She is currently employed with the Rochester City School District. Rev. Mia was Ordained as an Elder on May 27th, 2018 by Bishop T. Anthony Bronner of ELIM Christian fellowship in Buffalo New York. While attending ELIM, Pastor Mia ministered on the Adult Dance Ministry, supervised the Children’s Dance Ministry, served as a facilitator for the Esther Project, coordinated the Summer Evangelist Outreach at ELIM Rochester, and taught Adult Sunday School. Recently, Pastor Mia served as the Assistant Pastor of New Horizons Faith Center UMC under the leadership of Dr. Desjamebra Robinson. Pastor Mia is the Proud Mother of one Son Caleb Isaac Richardson.
