Pastor Keith is an ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church, his official status is “retired Elder.” He is in his twenty-fifth year as a pastor, having served three churches in the years he was fulltime. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University in Madison, NJ. And his Master of Divinity degree from Colgate Rochester Divinity School/Bexley Hall/Crozer Theological Seminary in Rochester, NY. Before entering the fulltime ministry, he worked in sales as a sales manager and personnel recruiter. This business experience, and being a layperson, has helped him in knowing and relating to the spiritual needs of people in their everyday, working world, lives. He has been married to Kathy since 1978 and they have two adult children Kyle, and Kelsey who is married to Ryan.
While Keith enjoys preaching and leading worship on Sundays, he also believes that small group Bible studies are vital to the life of both the congregation and individual followers of Jesus; and he loves to lead small group studies. The two Bible verses that you will hear him reference more than any others are these: “The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must act with justice. You must love to show mercy. And you must be humble as you live in the sight of your God.” (Micah 6:8~NIRV) “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20~NIV) |
